You also have a 20dB pad at your disposal enabling you to capture high-level sound sources with ease. Plus a handy Low-Cut filter lets you remove any unwanted low-frequencies from your signal. The 580 features two other unique controls – Low Detail and High Detail. The Low Detail knob allows you to vary the quantity of low-frequency detail within your signal after enabling the Detail circuit using the front-panel button. This controls a two-stage circuit that simultaneously boosts an LF bell filter with its frequency centred at 125Hz whilst attenuating a bell filter centred around 400Hz. It allows you to add weight and power to instruments and sound sources and is ideal when recording kick drums or a DId bass guitar. The High Detail knob controls a HF shelving filter with a corner frequency of 10kHz. This is ideal for adding air and clarity to vocals and instruments particularly for drums and solo instruments.
