The RME MADIface is a USB interface providing MADI I/O over USB 2.0 while supporting 64 channels for recording and playback. This small device can simultaneously send and receive up to 64 channels of digital audio up to 2000 meters in distance ideal for large studio or broadcast facilities. The RME MADIface allows you to reliably run digital audio over large distances; depending on the sample rate you can have up to 64 simultaneous record and playback channels. This is ideal for large recording studios where recording space may not be near control rooms; the MADIface USB allows you to run a single MADI optical cable from a MADI A/D converter to the unit and capture up to 64 channels of audio on your PC or Mac. Incredible control over inputs outputs mix levels and more is provided by RMEs TotalMix software mixer. In addition to unlimited routing of inputs and outputs you can also split and distribute signals to multiple outputs at a time. The RME MADIface is fully capable without a computer; if you need as much distance as possible you can use the MADIface USB as a MADI repeater between MADI-equipped converters.
