The Peavey SP2 Speaker Enclosure is a two-way full-range/bi-ampable system designed to deliver precise and clear sound reproduction. The SP speaker features a 15″ BWX Black Widow 4″ diameter VC woofer with field-replaceable basket RX 22CT compression driver and Sound Guard III tweeter protection to maintain the high treble sounds. The durable speaker is constructed with plywood and features a coated metal grille finished in black. Optimal Sound Reproduction The SP two-way system is engineered to deliver outstanding sound reproduction. Combining the 15″ Black Widow VC woofer RX 22CT compression driver and Sound Guard III tweeter protection the result is a treble friendly speaker that delivers 1000 watts of continuous power. To complete the high quality sound the Peavey SP2 features asymmetrical Quadratic Throat Waveguide technology to provide precise tones. The SP2 has an impedance of 8Ω and internal passive crossover ensures a clear smooth response and delivers driver roll-off. Full-Range Input Connections The full-range inputs include 2 x 1/4″ jack sockets 1 x 4-Pin 1 x twist lock connector and 1 x Neutrik NL4 SpeakOn switching jack. The switching jack provides bi-amping flexibility all whilst offering super signal integrity. Enclosure Construction The SP 2 features a trapezoidal-shaped enclosure designed to reduce the buildup of standing waves and minimise mid-bass and mid-range coloration. The enclosure consists of plywood material with a powder coated metal grille internal braces and black textured finish. The wrap-around perforated steel grille protects the front of the enclosure for durability during transport and performance. Finally a built-in stand adapter with four rubber feet is included to make floor use easy and efficient.
