All the outer slides on the Odyssey Premiere are made from cupronickel which is stronger and more resistant to corrosion compared to yellow brass. Unlike other C trumpets the Odyssey OTR1200 C trumpet includes an additional tuning and valve slide to allow the trumpet to be tuned to Bb. The majority of premium trumpets have monel valves because it is very dense and is more resistant to corrosion meaning they wont flake and are less likely to seize up. On the first and third valve slides are finger rings to ensure a comfortable grip and also to make sure intonation is never an issue. The OTR1200 also includes an additional tuning and valve slide to allow the trumpet to be tuned to Bb.
