The Kenton GPIM16 GPI To MIDI Converter features 16 GPI inputs arranged on two 9 pin D sockets allowing it to output MIDI messages as notes controllers (CCs) or program changes. The Kenton GPIM16 is ideal for integrating your GPI-equipped devices with MIDI. The GPIM16 also features an edit mode which allows you to change the GPIM16 to receive and display different types of MIDI messages. Additionally the Kenton GPIM16 features a built-in MIDI analyser which allows users to see the types of MIDI messages being transmitted. The inputs are arranged with internal pullups so that shorting that input to ground will send the appropriate MIDI note-on message and releasing the short to ground will send a note-off message.
