Two modes of operation There is a lot going on under the hood of the RNC1773 that gives you a huge amount of scope for processing your audio. The first mode is the Normal mode this is a fairly conventional compression style that will add a certain amount of colour and excitement to your signal. This style will of course get more noticeable the more you bring the threshold down with the handy LED meter indicator the gain reduction amount. The second mode is the Super Nice mode thats activated by the button on the front panel. This works by adding in an internal circuit of three compressors that run in a cascading effect creating a smoother and more transparent mode of compression. This cascading effect minimises the amount of noise and artefacts you will hear allowing you to crank up the compression and it still is completely neutral and transparent.
